SABRE HISTORY
Sabre Systems, LLC is excited to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Since its establishment on July 3, 1989, Sabre has emerged as a dynamic organization leading the way in technological advancements. From our beginnings in Warminster, PA, we have grown into a prominent force driving innovation. We are thankful to our dedicated team, and we eagerly anticipate a bright future ahead.
1989
Sabre Founded
Sabre headquarters were initially established in a walk-in closet at Phil Jaurigue’s home, shortly after the award of our first contract.
1990
Opened First Official Office
The award of our second contract required a larger headquarters in Warminster, PA.
1995
Opened First Lexington Park, MD Office
Our growing team at Naval Air Station Patuxent River necessitated an expansion into Maryland.
1996
First NAVAIR Prime Contract at PAX River
2002
First Contract at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division
Our team continues to support gun weapon systems at NSWCDD today.
2002
First U.S. Census Bureau R&D Contract
For the past 22 years, Sabre has continued to support the collection, organization, and communication of valuable Census data.
2003
Received first ISO:9001 Certification
Our initial certification set the standards for our quality business processes, which have since been expanded to include ISO 20000 and 270001, which affirm high standards for information technology management and information security practices.
2005
Opened New Jersey Office
Sabre expanded presence in New Jersey to support growing efforts at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Notable contributions include Sabre’s support to Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS).
2008
Appraised at CMMI© Maturity Level (ML) 3 for Development
Since this appraisal, Sabre has obtained CMMI© ML3 for Development and Services, affirming our robust software and product development processes.
2009
Opened Aberdeen Office
Sabre established a home base for our team providing systems engineering, R&D and program management support to the Aberdeen Proving Ground.
2015
Awarded Prime Contract at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)
Our team continues to provide application development and management services for the Office of Prices and Living Conditions, in support of the Consumer Price Index program.
2016
Awarded Prime Software Engineering and Acquisition Management Contract
Under this $180M+ contract, we provided mission systems and sensor software engineering/development for multiple software support activities and platforms across NAVAIR.
2017
Instituted the OurSabre Scholarship
Sabre’s internal scholarship program provides annual merit-based scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Sabre employees. The program continues to be enhanced, in 2024 Sabre will award 3 $5000 scholarships.
2018
Introduced Sabre on Point
Sabre’s new commercial division was established, providing digital transformation and cyber solutions to commercial customers.
2020
Selected for Prime Digital Transformation Contract
Under this $77M contract, our team provides services in IT acceleration, cloud migration, robotic process automation, and AI/ML for the NAVAIR Digital Department.
2020
Received Hire Vets Gold Medallion
The Department of Labor awarded Sabre for our commitment to veteran hiring, a recognition we continue to receive annually.
2021
Began Cyber Live Fire Support
We are leading the development of the first ever joint service methodology for conducting operational cyber “live fire” test events for weapon systems.
2022
Developed HF antenna
Under our first major Small Business Innovation Research program (SBIR) award, we have developed and continue to enhance a revolutionary portable wideband HF antenna that outperforms most on the market.
2023
Awarded Phase II SBIR Contract
Our team was awarded an SBIR contract to research and develop a low-profile maritime antenna for use on small unmanned maritime crafts like the Wave Glider.
2024
Received R&D Contract for Anti-Tamper solutions
We protect DoD technologies, weapon systems, and platforms from reverse engineering.
2024
Awarded Geolocation Contract
Under the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program award, we support the U.S. Army with surveying the electromagnetic spectrum for small unmanned aerial systems.
